A. Vessel Operations
OPASCOR services vessels berthed at CIP with an area of 512 SqM. To support our vessel operations, OPASCOR deploys five (5) Quay Cranes operating 24/7. Furthermore, OPASCOR has twenty-nine (29) prime movers which are used to transport containers for stacking at CIP Container Yard. Currently, OPASCOR has an average productivity of twenty-eight (28) containers per hour.
B. Container Yard Operations
Cebu International Port is a seaport terminal catering to containerized and non-containerized cargoes with a total area of 14 hectares or 140,000 sqm., more or less. Its operational land area is dedicated largely for the operation of container yard (CY) which has an optimum capacity of 9,637 TEU's.
The CY is clustered into two: Alpha and Bravo. Alpha consisting of 6 Blocks is supported by ten (10) Ruber Tyred Gantry Cranes. Bravo, on the other hand, consisting of 5 Blocks is supported by four (4) Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes. Currently, OPASCOR has 14 RTG's. Transfer of container from vessel to CY is now made easy as OPASCOR have twenty-nine (29) prime movers. It also has four (4) reach stackers, four (4) side lifters, fourteen (14) forklifts. Likewise, two additional Blocks at Bravo will be added as primary stockyard to cater to the growing demands of our clientele.
C. Container Freight Services
The Cebu International Port has also provided Container Freight Station (CFS) located inside the port zone. The CFS caters to forwarders and consolidators for their container stuffing and stripping requirement.
The CFS has ample covered space that serves as temporary storeroom for stripped cargoes while waiting for documentation and release papers. To ensure security around the area, the Container Freight Station is fenced and surveillance cameras are placed in critical areas.
D. Reefer Panels
The Cebu International Port has 224 reefer plugs in strategically located reefer stations to facilitate accessibility of port personnel in the plugging/unplugging and monitoring of container temperature of sensitive cargoes such as fruits, fish, meat, seafoods, vegetables, dairy and other non-food products. Two hundred fourteen (214) reefer plugs are located at Alpha Block and the other ten (10) are in the Bulk Handling Facility.
